Trainradar24 does not run its own trains and does not resell anyone's timetable. Departures, delays and cancellations for the UK come from National Rail Enquiries, GTFS conversion by TravelWhiz, CC BY 4.0 — the same feed the operator publishes for everyone, used here without changes.
On top of that we add what an operator's own app does not show: the position of the train between stations. It is built from the timetable, from the operator's own progress reports and from what passengers on board send us, and it is what tells you whether a train is moving or standing still.
The departure boards for individual stations are on a separate page — station departures — and cover National Rail.
Yes. The map, the departure boards and the delay alerts are free, and you do not need an account to open the map. There is no paid tier that unlocks the data on this page.
It covers the services in the public timetable for National Rail. Where an operator does not publish live delays, the board shows planned times and the status column stays empty — we say so on the page rather than guessing a number.
An operator's app tells you about its own trains at its own stations. Trainradar24 shows the whole map in one place across several countries, and it shows where a train actually is, not just what time it was meant to leave.
On the station list. Each station has its own page with the next departures, the platform where it is published, and the delay where the operator reports one.
