Where the train data for Ireland comes from

Trainradar24 does not run trains and does not resell anyone's timetable. The timetable for Ireland comes from the National Transport Authority, published under CC BY 4.0 and provided as is. Live delays and positions come from Irish Rail's signalling data, used here without changes.

Each train has one delay figure, and it is applied to the stops that train still has ahead of it. A train marked on time was on time at its last reporting point.

Station departure boards are on a separate page — departures by station — for DART, Commuter, InterCity and the Enterprise to Belfast.

Questions people ask

Is Trainradar24 free?

Yes. The live map and the departure boards are free, and you do not need an account to open the map. There is no paid tier that unlocks the data on this page.

Does it cover every Irish Rail train?

It covers the trains in the NTA timetable and the live feed from Irish Rail: DART, Commuter, InterCity and the Enterprise to Belfast. Where a train reports no delay, the board shows its planned time.

How is this different from the Irish Rail app?

The Irish Rail app covers its own trains at its own stations. Trainradar24 shows the live train map and the departure boards together, and tells you where a train actually is, not only when it was due.

Where do I see departures from my station?

On the station list. Each station has its own page with the next departures and their delays.

Which countries are covered?

Poland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Finland, the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Croatia and Ireland, with the local-language version linked from the flag in the menu above.
